Manchester City thrash Wolves 5-1 to stay on course for fourth successive Premier League title
Erling Haaland scores four goals as Pep Guardiola's side move three points clear at the top of the table
Manchester City moved three points clear at the top of the Premier League table with a crushing 5-1 win over Wolves at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night.
Erling Haaland was the star of the show for City, scoring four goals including three in the first half. The Norwegian striker has now scored 25 goals in 19 Premier League appearances this season, and he is on course to break the record for the most goals scored in a single Premier League campaign.
Wolves were outclassed from start to finish, and they were lucky to only concede five goals. City could have easily scored more, but they were wasteful in front of goal at times.
The win takes City three points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table, and they now have a game in hand on their rivals. Arsenal face Manchester United on Sunday, and a win for City would see them open up a six-point lead at the summit.
