Florida Panthers Announce Updated Roster For The 2023 2024 Nhl Season

Florida Panthers announce updated roster for the 2023-2024 NHL season

Key additions and departures

The Florida Panthers have announced their roster for the upcoming 2023-2024 NHL season, with several key additions and departures. Notably, the team has signed free agent forward Matthew Tkachuk to a seven-year, $76 million contract. Tkachuk is a dynamic offensive player who scored 42 goals and added 62 assists for the Calgary Flames last season.

The Panthers have also added defenseman Anton Stralman on a one-year, $1 million contract. Stralman is a veteran with over 600 NHL games of experience, and he will provide depth to the Panthers' blue line.

On the departure side, the Panthers have traded forward Jonathan Huberdeau and defenseman MacKenzie Weegar to the Calgary Flames for Tkachuk. Huberdeau is a two-time All-Star and one of the most productive players in the NHL, while Weegar is a young, up-and-coming defenseman.

Remaining roster

The Panthers' full roster for the 2023-2024 season is as follows:

Forwards:
Matthew Tkachuk
Aleksander Barkov
Carter Verhaeghe
Sam Reinhart
Anthony Duclair
Frank Vatrano
Ryan Lomberg
Eetu Luostarinen
Grigori Denisenko

Defensemen:
Anton Stralman
Aaron Ekblad
Brandon Montour
Gustav Forsling
Radko Gudas
Connor Murphy

Goalies:
Sergei Bobrovsky
Spencer Knight

The Panthers are expected to be one of the contenders in the Eastern Conference this season, and their updated roster is a reflection of that. The team has added some key pieces and should be well-positioned to make a run at the Stanley Cup.
